February 4: Webinar the Tygron Water Module; the era of Artificial Intelligence and the open calculator

TRAINING FLOODING SIMULATIONS

Duration: 2 days

Knowledge level Tygron Water Module: Advanced

For: (experienced) hydrologists, with some experience with the Tygron Water Module

This training is provided by Tygron in collaboration with Aveco de Bondt. This collaboration will provide you with optimal insight into both the use and operation of the Tygron Platform and its application to hydrological issues based on practical experience and knowledge.

This training focuses on performing and interpreting flood calculations with the Tygron Water module. You will learn to work with the powerful simulation environment of the Tygron Water Module, in which you can simulate and visualize flooding more accurately, faster, more communicative, more user-friendly and autonomously, and make impact analyses.
In this training you will learn to simulate flooding based on large amounts of data, with a very detailed elevation model (AHN3 or AHN4) and at extremely high resolution. The training provides the right foundation for hydrologists who want to use Tygron for designing and testing flood defenses, and for drawing up (and practicing with) emergency plans.

Topics covered:

  • Simulating dike breaches with the Tygron Water module, including modeling breach locations and breach growth.
  • Simulate and analyze inundations as a result of a flood with the Tygron Water Module.
  • Understand and analyze results of the Tygron Water module. Consider water height, flow speeds and directions, arrival times, route analyses.
  • Enter future situations and/or scenarios in the Tygron Water module, calculate and analyze effects. For example, introducing new designs for dikes and/or introducing new residential areas to be developed.
  • Overview of the possible impact analyzes that can be made with the Tygron Water module, such as:
    * Gain insight into the vulnerability of the area
    * Evacuation options during a flood
    * Predicting damage and casualties
    * Modeling chain effects, such as cascade effects
