Cloud Computing
When you launch the application, you’ll see the Tygron Client running on your laptop. However, behind this local interface lies a sophisticated ISO 27001 certified cloud computing infrastructure known as the Tygron Engine, hosted and developed in The Netherlands.
Hosted & Developed in The Netherlands
- Situated in a state-of-the-art Tier 3 data center in the Netherlands, featuring redundant network connections and power supplies.
- Operates on bare-metal servers and network infrastructure owned by Tygron.
- The software stack is built on Linux, offering a secure and vendor independent foundation.
- On top of this, the Tygron Engine runs, utilizing open-source libraries alongside proprietary components developed by Tygron.
Architecture
- Project Servers: These serve as your secure gateway to the cloud, storing your project data and receiving commands through the public REST API.
- GPU Clusters: These GPU machines are heavily optimized for computational tasks. When a project server has a compute job, it is automatically dispatched to the most suitable GPU cluster.
- Scheduler: To reduce transfer times, a scheduler sends the GPU job through a specialized high-performance Mellanox Ethernet (used in many supercomputers worldwide) to the most suitable GPU cluster.
- Client Apps: Het Tygron Client is just one of several ways to connect to the API, including web viewers, scripts, dashboards, GEO apps, etc. This means you don’t need to worry if the local application crashes; all your data is securely stored on the project server.
Secure Data Storage
- Wij maken gebruik van Privacy by Design, projectgegevens zijn alleen toegankelijk voor de eigenaar ervan (dus by design niet voor Tygron-medewerkers). Gegevens worden opgeslagen op onze eigen bare-metal serverhardware in Nederland.
- Ons beleid is gebaseerd op en voldoet aan de Europese Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG).
- Wij hebben alle mogelijke technische en organisatorische maatregelen genomen om (persoons)gegevens te beschermen.
- Data is also automatically backup-ed to a remote location.
Supercomputer capabilities
The Project Servers are equipped with multi-terabyte (TB) RAM memory banks, eliminating the limitations of local computer resources. This capability allows for the simulation of flooding, heat stress, or your own models with billions of grid cells.
Additionally, the most demanding simulation tasks are offloaded to dedicated GPU Clusters, specifically designed to run massive parallel simulations across thousands of cores.
Shared Resources
- Resource Pooling: The Tygron Engine utilizes a multi-tenant model to serve multiple customers, dynamically assigning and reallocating resources based on demand.
- Broad Network Access: The servers are housed in a state-of-the-art Tier 3 data center with multiple internet connections, enabling your Geo-Plug-ins to download new datasets quickly and reliably.
Accountbeheer
Elke Tygron-gebruiker behoort tot een afzonderlijk domein. Afhankelijk van het door de Accountbeheerder toegewezen toegangsniveau heeft een gebruiker verschillende mogelijkheden.
Niveaus en rechten kunnen worden beheerd via Accountbeheer.
De Accountbeheerder kan ook de lengte van het wachtwoord afdwingen of Two-Factor Authentication activeren.
ISO 27001 Gecertificeerd
Het Tygron Platform is ISO 27001 gecertificeerd. ISO 27001 is de wereldwijde erkende standaard voor informatiebeveiliging en richt zich op het borgen van de vertrouwelijkheid, integriteit en beschikbaarheid van uw data. Deze certificering onderstreept onze toewijding aan de hoogste standaarden op het gebied van informatiebeveiliging en datamanagement.
